Description
Walton Lodge is an early 19th-century building located at 13 Walton Terrace. It is two storeys high and constructed of stucco. The design features a central block with three bays and slightly lower side wings. The central block has a moulded stone cornice and a flat pediment at the top. On the first floor, there are three windows with painted stone architraves and moulded stone cornices. Originally, there were two similar windows on the ground floor, but the left-hand window has been altered to a modern rectangular bay. The entrance features a central two-panelled door set within a three-centred arched rusticated stone porch, which is adorned with a moulded and dentilled cornice and a blocking course. This entrance is accessed by stone steps flanked by curved retaining walls with rusticated piers at the bottom. Each side wing has one wider window, with the left-hand ground floor window also having a modern rectangular bay inserted. All windows have narrow edged glazing that has been altered. Walton Lodge is part of a group of listed buildings on Walton Terrace.
