Description

Fleet Marston Farmhouse is a house that features a late 17th-century cross wing on the east side, which has been altered. The building has 18th and 19th-century extensions to the west, creating an L-shaped plan with a lean-to that fills the rear angle. The exterior is roughcast over brick, while the 17th-century wing is constructed of thin brick. There is a first-floor band course, and the left bays have shaped eaves. The roof is covered with old tiles and is hipped to the right. A large chimney made of thin brick with a rebuilt cogged top is positioned between the right bays, and a later small chimney is located between the left bays.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three main bays, with a narrow entrance hall situated between the left bays. The windows are irregular wooden casements featuring single horizontal glazing bars, with two on the ground floor in the right and center bays, both set in square projections with lean-to tile roofs. There are three hipped dormers, each with paired casements. A half-glazed 20th-century door is set within a 20th-century gabled timber porch. Inside, the ground floor room on the right includes a stop-chamfered spine beam and a large fireplace that aligns with a winder stair.
