Description
Lower Greatmoor Farmhouse and the attached barn date from the 17th century and have been altered over time. The farmhouse features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill and a thatched roof, along with a rebuilt brick chimney located to the left of center. It is 1½ storeys high and consists of 2 bays. The ground floor has a 3-light wooden casement window on the left, while the rest of the windows include two 2-light metal casements on the right and two 3-light casements in the thatch. There is a lobby entry with a board door. To the right, there is a 19th-century single bay extension made of whitewashed brick with a tiled roof and a brick chimney. This extension has two storeys, featuring C20 3-light metal casements and a C20 door on the left, which is covered by a tiled lean-to hood. The small barn to the left is constructed of timber frame and weatherboard, also with a thatched roof.
