Description
The Old Sportsman's Arms is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of flint with Denner Hill stone quoins, brick window surrounds, and features dentil eaves. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a brick chimney on the right side. The building has two storeys and two bays. The windows are 20th-century barred wooden casements, with paired windows in the left bay and a three-light window on the first floor to the right. There is a canted bay window with barred sashes on the right side. The central entrance features a boarded door with a flat wooden hood above it. To the left, there is a narrow 20th-century brick extension with a hipped roof, and a 20th-century parallel wing extends to the rear. The building is included for its group value.
