Description

This is a barn located to the north of Elmdown Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboard cladding, a flint plinth, and a steeply pitched slate roof. The barn consists of four bays, with the two bays on the right being narrower than those on the left. The second bay has altered board doors and a four-light window to the right. The side facing the yard includes lean-to loose-boxes. Inside, there are queen strut trusses, renewed braces to the ties, and a threshing floor. The barn is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
