Description
The chapel, located about 20 meters northwest of Fawley Court, is a disused structure that was formerly used as a dairy and garden feature. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is constructed of knapped flint, mostly roughcast and colorwashed on the south side and rear, and features a hipped slate roof.
The eastern garden front has three bays, with the center bay projecting. It includes a band course and a parapet with a shallow gable above the center bay, along with buttresses. The outer bays contain stone roundels, with the left bay featuring a 20th-century mosaic. The center bay is designed in a Romanesque style, showcasing a semi-circular headed two-light stone window and a re-set 12th-century doorway from Hart Street, Henley. This doorway features a semi-circular arch composed of two orders on shafts, with the outer order being moulded and the inner adorned with beakhead ornament.
On the rear, there is a flint panel that includes a four-centred stone arch from Crosby Hall, London, flanked by lancet windows. The interior features a four-centred vault with wooden ribs in a 16th-century style.
