Description
Pound Farmhouse is a house built in the mid to late 18th century, with a narrow parallel range added to the rear in the early 19th century. It has been renovated in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brown and vitreous header brick, featuring red brick dressings and colourwashed roughcast on the plinth and gable end. It has a first-floor band-course, a moulded brick eaves cornice, and an old tile roof. There are brick chimneys located between the ranges. The house is two storeys tall with an attic and consists of four bays. The windows are three-pane sashes with cambered heads, although the ground floor sashes have been renewed. The second bay includes a 20th-century six-panel door topped with a large flat wooden hood supported by shaped scroll brackets. Additionally, there is a Royal Exchange fire insurance plaque on the building. The attic features wooden casements in the right gable and at the rear.
