Description
The barn at Notley Farm is a medieval structure, likely associated with the Abbey. It features six bays, with a south wall and east gable made of rubble stone, while the north wall is partly covered in weather-boarding. The roof is tiled. At the west end, there is a stone wing topped with a corrugated iron roof. Inside, the barn has five arch-braced cruck trusses, with the blades ending above collars that support lower purlins and struts, which in turn hold a second collar carrying the upper purlin.
