Description
The Parish Church of All Saints was built in 1912 by Temple Moore, with only the north aisle completed. The chancel, nave, south aisle, and tower were not constructed. The church is made of brick with stone dressings, featuring a moulded plinth and a tiled roof. It is designed in an Art Nouveau style with Byzantine influences on the interior. The interior has colourwashed plaster with stone dressings.
The chancel consists of two bays and has a three-light east window. The west bay features three small arches leading into the north aisle, which is screened by a plank and muntin screen. The south side has three arches, with the center one being narrower. There is a rood screen present. The nave has four bays, with the south arcade blocked and featuring a square pier set diagonally, along with semi-circular arches and brick bands. The north aisle wall is treated as an arcade, with chamfered square piers and semi-circular arches also adorned with brick bands. The windows are four-light and decorated, set within recesses. The roof is a boarded wagon type, supported by tie beams with moulded crown-posts.
The north porch is timber-framed with brick infill, and there is a north vestry beneath a catslide roof. The south wall has blocked arcade bays that were intended to connect to the projected nave.
