Description

This is a late 18th-century house located in Caddington. The front is built of coursed rubble, designed to resemble large masonry blocks, with a recessed pattern of one course of brickwork laid horizontally and vertically. The remainder of the house is of rubblestone construction with brick dressings, and it has an old tile roof. The house originally comprised three bays and two storeys, with a central doorway above which is a two-light casement window. Three-light casement windows are present in the outer bays, all with voussoir detailing above. A left-hand first-floor window now has an oak lintel. Brick stacks flank the front. A one-bay, two-storey lower wing, dating to the 19th century, extends to the right, featuring a casement window, brick dressings, and a gable stack. A lean-to is attached to the left, and a two-storey rear addition is situated on the left-hand side.
