Description
This is a barn located 20 meters south of Meadle Farmhouse, dating from the mid-18th century. It features a timber frame and weatherboard construction with a flint and brick plinth. The right side consists of two bays made entirely of flint and brick, while the short south aisle is mostly brick with some flint at the right end. The roof is made of corrugated iron, hipped to the left and half-hipped to the right. The main barn has nine bays, with an aisle on the south side of the left half, and a lower cart-shed wing of three bays at the rear of the left bay. On the south side, there is a board door that breaks through the eaves of the aisle, along with a tall window in the third bay from the right. The rear has irregular openings. The structure features queen post and queen strut trusses, with the right bays constructed from more substantial timbers.
