Description
Cobblers is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the early to mid-18th century, extensions in the 19th century, and further modifications around 1930. The two older bays at the northern end feature some timber framing with brick infill in the gable, while the other walls are rebuilt in chequer brick, complete with a first-floor band course. A central brick chimney is present, with a lobby entry on the west side. The third bay is constructed of 19th-century red brick, which has a first-floor band at the rear and a chimney on the right. There is also a matching brick extension from around 1930 to the south. The house has a half-hipped roof covered with old tiles and stands two storeys tall with an attic, comprising four bays. The windows are irregularly arranged and include 20th-century leaded and wooden casements, along with a small dormer featuring a single leaded light in the second bay. There is a 20th-century door located between the left bays and another in the 20th-century extension. A lean-to structure is situated to the far right.
