Description
Lady Boys, formerly known as Cats Croft, is a 17th-century timber-framed building that has been encased in 18th-century brick and altered over time. It features an old tile roof and stands two storeys tall, with a section on the left that is one storey high and includes an attic with a modern dormer. The central section has a modern door, a two-light casement window, and a circular window on the first floor. To the right, there is a gabled wing with a first-floor band, a two-light casement window on the first floor, and a large brick stack on the flank wall. Inside, the timber-framing is visible in both the main block and the crosswing. Historically, this property was associated with the Lady Boys Charity, which was founded in 1640, with John Hampden being one of the first Trustees.
