Description
Upper Woodend Farmhouse and Squirrel Cottage are two houses that feature two 17th century bays on the south side, with the remainder dating from the 18th century. The buildings have been altered and extended in the 20th century. They are constructed of flint with brick dressings, while the southern bays are finished with narrow brick. The roof is made of old tiles and is hipped to the south, with a central rebuilt brick chimney. The structure is one storey with an attic and consists of four bays.
On the west side, there are irregular paired barred wooden casements, with three in the attic located in gabled eaves-line dormers, and ground floor windows that have segmental heads. There is a central half-glazed door, and to the left, there is a 20th century brick extension. The rear features similar windows on the left, with the ground floor left window having a horizontal sliding sash, and a board door located in a 20th century gabled brick porch between the left bays. There are also hipped and half-hipped extensions from the 18th and 19th centuries that project to the right.
