Description

The Old Bakehouse is a house dating from the mid-to-late 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the early 19th century. The original part of the building is constructed of knapped flint with brick dressings, and was subsequently raised with unknapped flint above the first-floor sill course. The roof is tiled, with dentil brick eaves and brick chimneys. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. The ground floor windows are three-light casements with barred wooden frames and segmental heads. First-floor windows are two-light casements with larger panes of glass, also with barred wooden frames. A central doorway has been blocked up. A weatherboard lean-to is attached to the right, and the main entrance is now located at the rear.
