Description
Manor Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-18th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill at the rear, while the front and left gable are constructed of chequer brick, complete with a moulded plinth and eaves. The right gable is rendered. The cottage has an old tile roof and a central chimney made of thin brick. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are paired barred wooden casements, with those on the ground floor having cambered heads. There is a similar casement window in the centre of the first floor above the lobby entry, which has a half-glazed door and a flat wooden hood supported by brackets. To the left, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension. Inside, the cottage features chamfered spine beams, a fireplace lintel dated 1718, and diagonal braces within the frame.
