Description

Thatch End is a 17th-century cottage that was formerly a Post Office. It features a timber-framed structure with plastered infill. The ground floor has been built out with false timbering, and there is plank timbering applied to the end wall. The cottage has a thatched roof with end stacks and stands at one and a half storeys high. On the upper level, there are three modern leaded windows in the thatch. The ground floor to the right has irregular two-light wooden casements. To the left, there is a lean-to with a tiled roof over a bay that has a barred shop window set on a stone wall base. The entrance is through a central modern door.
