Description

This is a barn dating from the 18th century, located to the west of Hawthorn Farmhouse. It is timber framed and stands on a brick plinth, with weatherboarding and an old tile roof. The barn features a gabled cart entry on the east side, flanked by outshots, and a lower range on the south that connects to another barn on the southwest side. Inside, the barn has five bays with curved principals that support lower purlins and collars for the upper purlins. There are straight braces to the ties and pullins. The barn is included for its group value.
