Description

Chesham Bois Manor is a country house built in 1880 by J Wallis Chapman, with a hall and loggia added in 1908. It is designed in a Gothic style, constructed from flint rubble with stone dressings and quoins. The building has an irregular plan, featuring a nearly symmetrical center on the southeast garden front, a southwest turret, and an arcaded entrance loggia. It stands two storeys high, with casements that have stone mullions and a large bay window facing the garden. The Lordship of the Manor was purchased in 1903 by J W Garrett-Pegge. Chesham Bois Manor, along with its coachhouse and lodge, forms a cohesive group.
