Description

Nup End Farmhouse is a house dating back to the 16th century, with extensions and renovations carried out in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with brick infill, some of which is thin brick, and is whitewashed on the left side. The roof is tiled. The house has two storeys and two bays. The ground floor windows are 20th-century leaded casements: a three-light window on the left and a two-light window on the right. There are single-light windows with diamond leading in the first floor. A rear wing was added later and is whitewashed brick. Inside, the upper floor has curved braces and curved wind-braces, alongside original first-floor joists. The right-hand bay features a massive square-cut spine beam, while the left-hand bay has a moulded spine beam with one end stop-chamfered with run-out stops.
