Description

Jasmyne Cottage, Abbots Willow, and Abbey Cottage are three houses located on Marlow Road in Little Marlow. They date from the late 16th century and 17th century, with an early to mid-19th century extension on the left side. The original sections are timber framed with whitewashed brick infill, featuring old tile roofs and rebuilt brick chimneys. The 19th-century extension is made of whitewashed brick with a hipped roof, which is now tiled but was originally slated.

The buildings are arranged in a U-shape, with two and a half bays from the 16th century at the center, a two-bay gabled wing from the 17th century projecting to the right, and the 19th-century block to the left. The older parts are two stories tall. The central bays have irregular wooden casements, one gabled dormer, French doors between the left bays, and an old board door with a lean-to tiled hood on the right. The right wing features 20th-century leaded casements, a canted wooden bay window on the left return, and the front gable was rebuilt in 1985. There is also a 20th-century door and oriel window on the right side of the gable end of the rear wing.

The 19th-century extension is two stories with an attic, featuring two three-pane sashes on each floor, a small 20th-century flat-roofed dormer, and a 20th-century half-glazed door with a flat hood on the right. The ground floor openings have cambered heads. Inside the rear range, there are curved wall braces and some slightly curved wind-braces.
