Description

Winterburn Bridge is a road bridge dating from the early 17th century. It was widened downstream in the mid to late 18th century and features mid-19th century moulded coping on the parapet and wing walls. The bridge is constructed with ashlar voussoirs and rubble, and it has a single-span, segmental arch. The upstream side displays numerous mason's marks on the recessed voussoirs, while the downstream side features a string course at the base of the ramped parapet.
