Description

A farmhouse and attached barn, likely dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, which has been altered and recently extended to the rear. The building is constructed of white-painted random rubble with a stone slate roof. It has a single-depth, two-unit plan arranged on an east-west axis, facing south, with a former barn attached to the west end and a large lean-to addition to the rear. The main three-window range has a square-headed doorway on the left with a 20th-century glazed door sheltered by a pitched canopy. To the right are three square four-pane sash windows, with matching windows above, arranged as a group of one and two. Paired gutter brackets are present. A large square corbelled chimney stands at the right-hand gable, while a smaller square ridge chimney is located at the junction to the left. The former barn to the left features a four-pane sash window where a wagon doorway once stood, with a stone slate drip band above it. A slit window is positioned to the right, and a similar window is above. The interior has been remodelled.
