Description

The wall of the garden to the north of Hill Top Farmhouse is likely from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features triangular coping stones. The rectangular enclosure measures approximately 30 meters by 12 meters. There is a 20th-century double gate entrance and an original single door entrance with a lintel to the left. Most of the western section facing Back Lane was rebuilt in the mid-20th century. A plain mid-19th century garden house has been inserted into the center of the north side, projecting to the rear. This wall was probably built as a walled garden for Hill Top House.
