Description

New Bridge is a public road bridge over the River Rawthey, built in the 18th century. It is constructed of slobbered rubble and features two wide segmental arches that spring from a central pier. This pier has triangular cutwaters on both sides, each topped with a small pediment. The bridge includes squinches at the north-west and south-east corners, and its parapets have rounded and grooved coping stones that curve outward at the corners where the squinches are located.
