Description
Lawn House is an early 19th-century house built of rubble with ashlar sandstone dressings and a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and four bays. The building features quoins, and the doorway in the third bay has a round-headed surround made of voussoirs that spring from plain imposts. The entrance includes a six-panelled door and a three-pane fanlight with glazing bars. The windows have projecting lintels and sills, and they are fitted with sashes that have glazing bars and crown glass. The house has kneelers that resemble console brackets, ashlar copings, and chimney stacks at both ends, with an additional ridge stack located between the third and fourth bays. The roof is double-span. At the rear, there is a renewed six-panelled door set in a plain stone surround.
