Description

New House with adjoining coach house and byres is a building likely dating from the early to mid-18th century, with some alterations. It features later additions, including a coach house dated 1914, marked with the initials P.F., and byres. The structure is made of coursed, squared rubble, with the house being limewashed and the byres having a slobbered finish. The roofs are covered with graduated slate for the house and coach house, while the byre has graduated stone flags.

The house is two storeys high and consists of seven bays. It has a plank door located in a gabled porch, accompanied by a sash window, two casements (one of which is inserted in a part-blocked doorway), and a plank door to the right. To the left, there is a sash window and a blocked door. On the upper floor, there are five sash windows with a blocked opening to the left. The house features stone mid chimneys.

The tall single-bay coach house, now used as a store, projects at the junction between the house and the byres. It has steps leading up to a segment-headed door on the first floor, with two dog kennels built underneath. There is also a segment-headed coach door on the north return, with a three-light casement window above. A drip course runs around the building between the floors, topped with a pyramidal roof.

Adjoining the north return of the house is a four-bay byre range, which has three doors with a loft door above and a change in roof levels.
