Description
Rawthey Bridge is a public road bridge built in 1822, which was reconstructed after a 16th-century bridge was partially destroyed by floods. It is made of coursed sandstone rubble and features a high semicircular arch with rubble voussoirs arranged in a saw-toothed pattern, along with a slightly raised keystone. On the west side, there is a wide rectangular panel that appears to be intended for a tablet but only contains a small carved mask. The bridge has curved and battered abutments, straight parapets with sandstone copings, and a flat deck.
