Description

This is a house and barns dating to 1776, with a barn added probably in the early to mid-19th century. The initials "T.G." appear on the door lintel. The house is constructed from coursed squared rubble with quoins, and the front is wet-dashed. It has a graduated slate roof and is built on a sloping site. The house is two storeys high and has five bays overall, arranged as 2:3:1. A part-glazed door is set in a plain surround, and the windows are square-leaded with flat mullions, including one three-light and one two-light window on each floor. The left-hand barn, used as a ramped byre, has a plank door with vent slits and a plank loft door above. It has a wagon entrance to the rear. The right-hand barn has a fixed window to the ground floor and a segment-headed wagon entrance to the rear, with loft access above. A stone end chimney is present on the house.
