The aqueduct at Holme Bridge carries the Leeds and Liverpool Canal over Eshton Beck and was built around 1790, designed by engineer Robert Whitworth. It is constructed from dressed stone and features five low segmental arches, with their faces and spandrels aligned. Above the arches, there is a tall, slightly curved parapet that is set back in the center.
