Description
This is a barn located approximately 25 metres north of the Cross Keys Hotel, likely built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of mixed random rubble, mostly slobbered, with quoins and a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan that runs parallel to the road, featuring lean-to additions at both ends and the rear.
On the east front, there is a segmental-headed wagon doorway offset to the left, which has rubble voussoirs and 19th-century har-hung doors. Near the left end, there is another doorway with a monolith lintel. To the right, an integral stable includes a square-headed doorway and an oblong window, along with a square loading door above. The left end has a lean-to garage, while a smaller lean-to extension is found at the right-hand end. This barn is included as part of a group with the Cross Keys Hotel.
