Description
Hanlith Hall Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with later alterations. It is constructed of roughly-cut rubble stone with stone dressings and a slate roof. The rear elevation, which faces the road, has irregular window placement. The ground floor has a late 17th-century two-light mullioned window, now with 20th-century fixed lights. A late 19th-century two-light window with a plain surround and flat-faced mullion is also present. The upper floor features a 17th-century two-light double-chamfered mullioned window, where the left-hand light is blocked and replaced with a 20th-century casement, a blocked central window, and a chamfered single-light window with a fixed light. The front garden elevation has two storeys and four bays. A 20th-century entrance is located in the second bay, with a 20th-century porch. A ground floor double-chamfered window, originally two-light but with the mullion removed, now has a 20th-century casement. A 18th-century two-light window with a flat-faced mullion and sash windows with glazing bars is also present. A late 18th-century entrance, with a plain surround and a 1970s glazed door, is situated in the fourth bay, accompanied by a ground floor 17th-century two-light chamfered window with a hoodmould over. The upper floor has four two-light windows with flat-faced mullions and late 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars. Gable end ridge stacks are visible, along with a stack to the left of the centre.
