Description

This description pertains to a gate and gate piers located approximately 200 metres west of Coverham Abbey House. The gate and piers date from the 18th and 19th centuries. They feature a cast-iron gate and are constructed from ashlar sandstone. The piers are rusticated and have cornices topped with acorn finials. The single gate from the 19th century is adorned with fleurs-de-lis finials.
