Description
Mount Pleasant Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1681, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of slobbered rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has a gable end facing the street and is two storeys tall with two bays. The entrance, located to the left, has a moulded surround and a decorated lintel that is dated and features the initials L M and R M above a halberd device. To the right of the entrance are two 19th-century windows on each storey, which have plain surrounds and projecting sills; these are fitted with 20th-century sashes and casements. The eaves are adorned with modillions. There is a ridge stack at the left-hand gable end and another ridge stack to the right of centre. The gable end facing the street includes a three-light chamfered mullioned window on the ground floor and a single-light chamfered window on the upper floor, both of which have 20th-century casements. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
