Description

The privy and store, located approximately 5 meters south-west of East Rackenthwaite, is likely from the 18th century or possibly earlier. Constructed from sandstone rubble, it features mono-pitched stone slate roofs. The small rectangular privy faces east and is connected by a screen wall to a square store that faces it, cleverly positioned over a beck. This structure is part of a significant farmstead group that includes East Rackenthwaite.
