Description
This building, located approximately 10 metres to the north-west of Brecongill House, is a former house that has been converted into a farm building. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some alterations made in the late 18th century to early 19th century. The structure is built of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys, with a third storey added during the later period.
The building has an L-shaped plan with a projection on the front left side. The right side of the projection features quoins. On the ground floor, there is a board door set within an ashlar chamfered quoined surround, along with two stable doors that also have ashlar surrounds. A pitching door is located on the first floor of the projection, accessible by steps.
In the recessed section of the building, there are remains of double-chamfered mullion windows, with a two-light window on the ground floor and a four-light window on the first floor, which has been blocked to a two-light configuration. The second floor of the recessed section features 16-pane sash windows in ashlar surrounds. The building has end stacks.
