Description
Church Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick and topped with a steeply pitched pantile roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and features a symmetrical facade consisting of three bays, flanked by slightly recessed lean-to wings of one bay each. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, set beneath flat gauged arches that include keystones. Notably, the keystone of the central first-floor window displays an urn motif.
The central doorway is framed by a pedimented Doric doorcase, complete with fluted pilasters and a panelled reveal, leading to a six-panel door topped by a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. The wings are adorned with coped parapets, and there is a modillion eaves cornice along the roofline. The gables are parapeted and feature internal chimney stacks.
At the rear, there is a double pile gabled projection with casement windows, all of which are 20th-century replacements except for two attic windows. The rear also includes a stable-type entrance door with a moulded frame and segmental heads over the openings. A rebuilt chimney stack is positioned between the gables.
