Description
The Grange is a house dating from the early 19th century, with possibly an earlier core. It is constructed of gault and red brick, with some areas colour-washed, and features black-glazed pantile roofs. The building has a T-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall. The main facade faces west and is made of gault brick, comprising three bays, with the centre bay slightly advanced. This bay includes a later brick porch and a six-panelled entrance door. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and there are flat rubbed arches above the openings. Plain brick corner pilasters enhance the structure, and an eaves cornice with brackets arranged in pairs runs along the top. The gables are parapeted and feature internal red brick chimney stacks. The east side has hipped red brick wings, while single-storey wings are located on the north and south sides.
