Description
Commission Mill Cottage is a late 18th-century miller's cottage that has been converted into a holiday cottage. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a thatched roof. The east side of the building has one storey and a dormer attic. The entrance door is located to the right of the centre, with one 20th-century window on each side, all set under segmental arches. The gabled roof has a prominent central dormer with eyebrow thatching, which contains a three-light casement window. There is a rebuilt internal stack on the south gable, and the gable heads show tumbling, with the south gable head having been rebuilt. Attached to both gable walls are single-storey early 20th-century lean-to additions with pantiled roofs, and a similar extension covers the rear wall of the cottage. The cottage is included for its group value.
