Description
The Old Maltings is a former maltings building from the 18th century that was converted into a dwelling in the early 20th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantiled hipped roof. The building is two storeys high and represents the east range of a former maltings complex. The east facade has three bays, with the central bay set forward. This central bay includes an elliptical brick arch over a driveway leading to the rear, a brick gable above with a gault brick verge, and a central semi-circular window with a gauged brick arch. The flanking bays each contain two windows and an outer door. The outer windows on the ground floor have flat gauged brick arches, while the first floor windows remain in their original openings. The building also features gault brick corbelled eaves and two axial stacks.
