Description
This is a tomb monument located 30 metres east of the chancel, built in 1868. It features a rectangular shape in Gothic style, adorned with a blind arcade consisting of four panels on the long sides and two panels on the short sides. Above the arcade is a moulded slab supported by coupled trefoil arches, which are held up by polished granite columns that alternate between pink and white, each topped with octagonal stone caps and bases on a moulded base. The arches are further supported by a small trefoil pendant. Most of the panels are inscribed with the name Long and dates ranging from 1868 to 1890. The tomb is enclosed by cast-iron rails arranged in three by two bays, featuring alternating plain and more elaborate heads. The larger corner and intermediate main rails have square and twisted sections, topped with even more intricate heads.
