Description
This is a 17th-century barn located 20 meters north of Boyes Farmhouse in Owslebury. The barn features a timber-frame structure with walls made of brick and flint, accented by brick dressings and weatherboarding above. The roof is covered with asbestos sheets and corrugated iron. It has nine bays and includes a mid-20th-century outshot along the entire farmyard side, while still retaining two midstrey porches. There are three bays from each end, with double doors directly opposite them on the other side. Inside, the barn has a queen post roof supported by cambered ties, curved wind braces, and straight braces connecting the ties to the wallplate.
