Description

A 17th-century house, now divided into a pair of cottages, located in Owslebury. The original timber frame is now concealed by a brick exterior, which has been colourwashed and the front is rendered. Originally a three-bay building, it now has a four-window range and a 1½-storey projection to the rear. In the 20th century, porches were added to each side of the centre. The left porch is hipped and partly built of brick, while the right is a pent-roofed structure with glazed timber and leaded light. A 19th-century three-light casement window is on the left and a 19th-century two-light, segmental-headed casement and a three-light casement are on the right. Four hipped dormers illuminate four 2-light casement windows. All the windows in the right-hand cottage are leaded. Chimneys are located at each end, with the left-hand stack immediately behind the ridge and the right-hand stack in front of it.
