Description
This is a house located at 51 Southover High Street, dating from the 16th century, with later modifications made in the 18th century and restoration in the early 20th century. The building features a timber frame with a painted brick ground floor facing the street and a painted banded flint and brick facade on Potter's Lane. The first floor is close-studded with rendered infilling. It has a plain tiled roof that includes a large gablet and a hipped return, with a stack at the left end. The house is two storeys high, displaying a jetty over the ground floor. The front facing Southover High Street has a single window, while the first floor features a three-light mullioned window and the ground floor has a five-light window, both with diamond lattice casements. The right return front has two windows and a door located at the extreme left.
