Description

Nos 2 and 3, Friar’s Walk, are a pair of houses dating from the early 19th century. They are built of grey brick with red dressings and quoins. The eaves have a flat wooden soffit with paired brackets, supporting a slate roof with end stacks. The houses are three storeys high, with a regular two-window front. Each house has paired central entrances. The left house has a sash window, while the right house has a slender glazing bar sash window, all within red brick surrounds with gauged brick heads, the second-floor surrounds being shallower than those below. The paired central entrances have a half-glazed door to the left and a panelled door to the right, with an upper pair of glazed panels. The entrance is framed by pilasters with a cornice hood above.
