Description

Nos 8 and 9, Friar’s Walk, are a pair of houses dating to the early 19th century. They are constructed of grey headers with red brick quoins and dressings, featuring a flat wooden eaves soffit with paired brackets supporting a slate roof, and end stacks. The houses are three storeys high with a basement. They have a regular two-window facade. Glazing bar sash windows are set within brick surrounds with gauged heads, the heads being shallower on the second floor. The central entrances are paired, with panelled doors, the upper panels glazed within a pilastered surround, topped by a sloping cornice hood. Two basement lights are visible over the pavement to either side of the entrances.
