Description

The National Westminster Bank is a bank building constructed in 1901, designed by architect Frederick Wheeler. It features an Edwardian baroque style and consists of two storeys with four windows. The ground floor is made of ashlar stone, while the upper level is finished in red brick with grey headers and ashlar detailing. The building has a tiled roof. The end window bays project outward and are flanked by stone Ionic columns, each topped with pediments. A dormer window is situated between these columns. The ground floor windows are large segmental-headed casement windows, while the upper storey has sash windows with glazing bars.
