Description

The Old Meeting is a former General Baptist Chapel, dating to 1741, and later converted into a house. It is constructed of knapped flint with red brick quoins and dressings. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, featuring a brick stack on the left side. The building is single-storied and has a regular pattern of two segment-headed windows. These windows are glazing bar sashes with open boxes, and there is a small casement window above the one to the right. A weatherboarded porch, added in the 20th century, shelters the original eight-panel door. A datestone above the entrance reads "1741".
