Description
The building is an oasthouse with an attached cartshed and granary located at Burhunt Farm, dating from the late 18th century for the oasthouse and the mid 19th century for the attached cartshed with granary above. The oasthouse features two square kilns with a clunch base and brick above, and the front is weatherboarded over a timber frame. The kilns have pyramidal slate roofs, while the storage area has tile roofs. The cowls and fantails are missing. To the west, there is a five-bay open-fronted cartshed with a granary above. The rear and side walls are made of clunch with red brick dressing, and the front is weatherboarded over a timber frame, with the ground floor supported by wooden supports. The first floor has three window openings, two of which are partially blocked, and a door. It is possible that the first floor was used as a hop store.
