Description
Abinger House is an early 19th-century house located in Abinger Place, Lewes. The house is stuccoed, with the ground floor rusticated horizontally on a plinth. A string course runs above the ground floor, and a wide, flat wooden eaves soffit is present beneath the slate roof, with chimney stacks at either end. The building is three storeys high and has a regular three-window front featuring glazing bar sash windows. On the second floor, the windows are set within wide, raised surrounds with bracketed sills. The central entrance is arched, with a panelled door leading up two steps, and a plain fanlight above. The entrance is surrounded by Doric columns topped by an open triangular pediment.
